The Surface of anything may be defined as “its outermost or uppermost layer.” It is the region that can first be perceived by an observer using the senses of sight and touch, and is the portion with which other materials first interact.
“SURFACE” is also the name of an American SCI-FI TV series created by Jonas and Josh Pate, that premiered on NBC September 19, 2005 and aired sixteen remarkable episodes before ending its run … cancelled after one season.
What began as a story about the discovery of an Unknown Life-Form at the bottom of the North Pacific Ocean (possibly the greatest secret in human history) followed by Strange Events (all connected) around the globe — morphed into one about the possible dangers of Genetic Engineering and secret creation of an Intelligent Species by man.

SCIENCE FICTION often explores the concept of an Alternate Universe or Parallel Dimension that exists beside our own, but is not ordinarily detectable — without advanced Technology, some extraordinary Circumstance, or Supernatural Ability to Intrude upon our World — by Entities from the Other Side.
Examples include the episode “Mirror, Mirror” from Star Trek TOS, Philip K. Dick’s novel “The Man in the High Castle” and the Alternate Universe depicted in the TV Series Fringe.

A Parallel Dimension has also been theorized to be the source of origin for ALIENS. This eliminates the need to travel vast distances between stars through outer space … and supports the multiverse idea.
Modern UFO Abduction Researchers have also explored this possibility to explain the ability of ALIEN visitors to slip in and out of our Reality. In “Sight Unseen, Science, UFO Invisibility and Transgenic Beings” (2003) Budd Hopkins shows how scientific discoveries support the plausibility of the UFO phenomenon — including Cloaking Devices for Aircraft.
In “The Alien Agendas” (2020) long time UFO Historian and Researcher Richard Dolan observes: “Do these beings inhabit another dimension of our reality that we have not yet truly understood, except through the explorations of a small number of spiritual adepts over the centuries? I don’t know if this would make such entities ‘spiritual’ beings, or simply physical beings that ‘live’ in some other reality we know next-to-nothing about.”
